The Countdown...

Well today it is the day I started organizing everything and making sure it is in the bag. Nine days until flight day but I still have five days until the tournament starts which I will use to get everything synched up. This is the time when I get the nervous energy and what us tour pro's call the 'itch'. The first tournament of the year is usually a huge test and shows where your game is and any changes you might have made in the off season. I have not made many changes this off season other than trying to shorten the back swing a little and stay in the power zone longer. Lately I have been doing a lot of training on the simulator and hoping those good feelings transfer to the course in the coming weeks. The one thing I am very excited about is I will be starting this season 15 pounds less than last year and I am very thankful for that. I am no where near my goal so I will be thinner throughout the year and getting more healthy.

Prep Time

We are exactly fifteen days away from the flight to my first event of 2012. I am getting that nervous feeling of excitement. Ive been hitting the gym very hard with intense cardio sessions and light weight training, also including a lot of stretching.
The weather has not been so kind (yet appropriate for the time of year) and I have been playing a lot of golf on the indoor simulator. It has not done anything for my feel of the short game but it helps me train my big movements which I like. I feel that I will have sufficient time to gain my feeling once I arrive at the tournament. Hopefully since I've had a club in my hand, the feeling won't take long to regain.

New Addition for 2012

I have added a new member to my team and his name is Adam Sprackling. He has been a great influence on me and how we have changed my thought process throughout the golf swing. Adam is my new Golf Mind Coach. What is interesting is he is asking questions that I have never thought to ask myself and it gives you a very new perspective. We have only been together a few months now but I feel that we are making huge strides in the rite direction.

I highly recommend if you are struggling or just want another opinion this is the man to talk to. His website it: www.singlemindedgolf.com and he is also on twitter @AdamSMG. We will continue to work together and you can even view some of our twitter conversations from time to time.

Outtakes

Here are some memorable filming moments of the last year. Enjoy!!

Hello World

Since this is my first entry to my new blog I wanted to tell you a little about myself. I grew up in a very small town in Northern California and I spent most of my young life there. My first jobs were gym utility man and golf course assistant. I fell in love with golf at a very young age and watched every tournament on television when other kids were outside playing; I was learning. My first round of golf was on a mini golf course I built around my grandpa's farm garage with holes made out of cut in half two liter coke bottles. They were later replaced with cracked replaced cups from the golf course but it sure was a lot of fun.
To cut a long story short I am now striving towards full membership on the big tours of the golfing world and this blog will show you my journey along the way. Which will include everything that we will deal with throughout the tournament season. I look forward to talking with all of you. #ThatsThat
